Zoe-perry
Perry is born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the character. But her parents would not let her perform until she reached the age of adulthood, for fear of the effects stress would have on their daughter. Perry was a shy teenager and didn't act. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she moved from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness caused Perry home to California and theater roles were readily available. She performed on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was performed in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. She played the role of a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode of CBS's The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. Despite her family link to the character she received the part through an audition.
