Tall and athletic actress Catherine Bell was born in London, England, but she moved from London to Los Angeles with her mother while she was a kid. The actress dropped out of the college in order to pursue her career as a model in Japan despite her intention to pursue a premed degree in college. After returning to L.A. after doing a couple of commercials, and appearances as a guest on TV programs and film projects of a lesser degree. In 1992, she played Isabella Rosellini's naked body double in the movie Death is Her, which led her to marry her husband Adam Deason on the set. In 1992, after a guest appearance on the NBC show JAG she wrote to its producers expressing interest. JAG moved over to CBS in 1996 and she changed her name to Major Sarah "Mac" Mac, who was her sidekick to Lieutenant. David James Elliott played Commander Harmon "Harm Rabb." The real-life experience she gained as a professional kickboxer, snowboarder and MMA fighter inspired her to take on physically demanding parts in action movies such as Men of War Crash Dive as well as Black Thunder.
